The historical

The historical centre shelters many essential spots of the city of Amsterdam. Dam Square with its Royal Palace, the active commercial streets of Kalverstraat and Leidsestraat to begin with, which buzzing activity contrasts with the serenity of the close garden of the Begijnhof. Close by awaits the Beurs van Berlage and its typical architectural style. The famous Red Light District is just two street away, and our tour will take us alongside it’s world famous windows and sex-shops and Coffeeshops. Amsterdam’s Chinatown offers then a totally different culture and mood: asian restaurants, grocery stores, even a buddhist temple. Another cultural switch is offered a few streets further: the jewish district (Jodenbuurt) is full of History. Largely destroyed and rebuilt after WW2, it is a very animated district sheltering the Nieuwmarkt place, Wterlooplein, several synagogues and the Rembrandt Huis.
